with Rabbi Jonathan-Keren Black
Rabbi Keren-Black, a Jewish Spiritual Progressive, believes in putting prayer into practice. So he has built an ‘underground home’ in London, and a seven star water and energy efficient home here in Australia. He has developed and patented a device to improve usage of rainwater. He has trialed a natural-gas powered car which you can fill at home, and since in Australia, drives a hybrid. He is a Board member of the Jewish Ecological Coalition and President of GreenFaith Australia, an interfaith organization with environment as its shared common concern. He has just completed the editing of a new prayer book with an ‘environmental edge’.
His presentation will introduce Jewish environmental and spiritual teachings, old and new, and give examples of environmental projects he has been involved with, and will include some practical ideas to take home.
